Malaysia (2) - Kuala Lumpar - Paradise on earth...

After our stint as Indiana Jones in the Borneo Jungle we flew from Sandakan (Borneo) to KL to Kota Bhura in the north of the peninsular. Very close to the Thai border. After a day of flying we were very tired and just wanted to relax ideally we checked in to Lee's Guesthouse which is run by a lovely Chinese man called Mr Lee who would do anything for us...including a beer run. The place was like a family home with big bedrooms, kitchen and TV room. That night we met up with Steph and Daryl again making our group 9 again. The next day we took a minibus south to Kuala Besut, a small port town that runs a speed boat service to the Perenthian Islands. The boat ride was hair raising...

Once on the island of Perenthian Kecil (Small Perenthian) we found accomodation at Lemon Grass Bungalows. The bungalows were very spartan having electricity between 7pm and 7am, a wooden shed of a bungalow and outdoor showers...though in the end we grew to love the place and the friendly staff. The next few days we spent time laying on the beach, snorkeling, eating and drinking...such a hard life! Whilst snorkeling we saw sea turtles, black tip reef sharks, nemos, moray eels, huge rays and many many more fish. The islands beauty is hard to show in photos...

On the last day we awoke for sun rise...

After a 5 nights in Paradise we headed back to Kuala Lumpar to relax where we stayed at the Petaling Street Hotel for 2 nights. Our last couple of days in KL were spent shopping and going to the cinema in preparation for the next adventure...INDIA!
